Soul Speak #17 - Is living "at the mercy of God" advisable or detrimental? A ReneGade Commentary

"Make no mistake.. this is all spiritual warfare.. ALL of it.. was just told to pray for a family of a 16 yr old girl who ended her young life." 🙏

I saw this comment posted by a friend, and I am debating on whether to express my thoughts here, for fear of sounding insensitive to this situation. My ❤ goes out to the family.
I feel the spiritual warfare exists, because the Christian 'gospel' does not bridge the "distance" we feel toward God. I made a post yesterday about the detriment of living "at the mercy of God". I know it sounds sacrilegious and out of place to say that, but I have delved into the psychology behind it, and it leaves people "dis-empowered" in life.
And because we rely so strongly on the "mercy of God" (helpless and a victim)... when we then encounter a hard circumstance and God does not show up, we are left with the trauma of abandonment.
I think abandonment is the root of all trauma, and when it feels like God abandons you, that's the ultimate horror.
How can we avoid this trauma in the future? By dissolving the mental "distance" that we feel towards God. And I try to do this through the message of "I AM" - Oneness with God.
Essentially, one would need to embrace the belief of "I AM God". This is Self (not Ego) empowering, and when we stop looking for help or rescue from outside of ourselves, it no longer invites the potential for abandonment and it's traumatic disappointment.
Of course, our Egos are strongly opposed to such a message. Just as it was in Jesus' time when he tried to open the understanding about this to the religious leaders in John 10:34. It's time for change and a new message.

It is just amazing how much "power" psychological angles can hold over us.
