What is the meaning of Salvation? In the very narrow definition of Christian belief it is often applied to the concept of "rescuing people from their separation from God" or "going to heaven when we die".
In a more broader sense, and the way Jesus demonstrated it through His living example, it refers to "make well, heal, restore to health or wholeness".
So "being saved" in other words is the process of "bringing body, soul and spirit together" as one HEALTHY being!
It really has no association with the idea of "going to heaven" when we die, because heaven and hell are states of soul awareness inside of a person.
When we are dissociated and separated within ourselves, mind (soul) against spirit, and spirit against body it creates an environment of "hell" and the (inner) house divided against each other will lead to it's fall.
Christian teaching actually encourages this "dividing" of soul by enhancing the idea of pitting "flesh" (body, natural needs) against the "spirit", creating this great divide within, which keeps the soul in perpetual war against itself... and a state of defeat.
Salvation is the integration of every part of you as One... and this can only be done through LOVE... by first loving every part of yourself, and only then can you love every part in another.
