Soul Speak #30 (Aug 18/20) Why does Christian belief cause so many 'dark nights of the soul'?

Have you ever considered why Christian belief causes so many 'dark nights of the soul' or states of 'depression'?

As if that is not troubling enough, we also have been conditioned to think of this as "God's discipline or chastisement" and in some weird way this brings us a measure of comfort and has us convinced that psychological trauma is OK and encouraged. 🤔

This is quite the web that has been woven in our minds. And I am determined to have it untangle in mine.

PS: Btw, "psychological" trauma simply means SOUL trauma. And didn't Jesus come to "save our soul"? How exactly is this to be done? Think about it.
This may burst someone's "heresy" bubble out there, but I need to say it... for the one who is in need of healing...

Believing in "a man crucified on the cross" does NOT heal our soul trauma. Many of us believe this and are still suffering, still not made whole in soul/mind. And this causes us to cling to the hope that one day "when I go to heaven" we will be made whole.

"Heaven" is an energetic state when our mind/soul is healthy. We would do well to seek it now, while the breath of God is present IN us (as in heaven so on/in earth).

I am not saying this in any disrespect of Jesus Christ, but we have misunderstood the cross. The Spirit of Christ DOES heal all soul trauma, but not by piling on further traumatising imagery of crosses and blood.
