Today's cigar for review is the Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art Robusto, a cigar I got in Cigar Club's November box.

Before I even took the Lost Art out of the cellophane I noticed some paint that had smudged on the cigar's foot. There was also a tear in the wrapper leaf that damaged my optimism.

However, the Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art Robusto smells better than it looks. Just giving the wrapper a sniff, I could smell leather and earth.

On the cold draw, I tasted something akin to soy sauce. And, after I torched the foot, the aroma of the smoke was of Nicaraguan tobacco and, perhaps, tobacco from another country, like Honduras.

Right off the bat, the flavors were good and the draw was fantastic. Despite the painted foot and the wrapper tears, we're off to a great start! After the first few puffs, I also tasted some brown paper bag and spice, so things are getting interesting.

After burning through the first potential issue, the Lost Art actually had a fairly even burn. The draw, which started fantastic, continues to be excellent. The flavors continue to be both spicy and sweet as well.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art Robusto is an okay cigar. The flavors were pretty good. The construction was alright, but it did have some issues. However, none of the cracks or burn issues had a significant negative impact on the smoking experience.

For the money, I think this is a decent cigar to keep in your collection. However, I think if you can get these at a fantastic price, they might be worth aging for a couple of years to eliminate any of those paper bag flavors and to really bring out the complexity in this stick.

Because it wasn't perfect but still enjoyable, the Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art Robusto earns a CigarScore 4.
