A social media star was dumped by his girlfriend and barred from a Wetherspoon pub after his fans bombarded the chain with £2,000 worth of food and drink orders.

Tom Birchy, 23, had invited his TikTok followers to place order with the chain remotely, and claimed that they had purchased him items including prosecco and steak.

But when he went to claim the food and drink, he said staff told him they couldn’t honour the orders as those placing them weren’t in the pub at the time.

Enraged Birchy then went on a foul-mouthed rant where he claimed he and his followers had been “robbed” and “scammed" after he was left with just “one f*cking pint”.

And after the TikToker was told by the pub’s workforce it would be “unfair” on them to prepare the feast as they were busy, he roared “F*cking get more staff”.

Birchy, revealed in later videos he had been barred from The Golden Beam in Headingley and that his girlfriend had called last orders on their relationship.

He was also temporarily banned from TikTok before the social media giant re-instated his profile, where he has almost 200,000 followers.

During the video, Birchy - who dubs himself the “King of Leeds” - said: “I asked people to buy me drinks, and so they did, and some nice food, some fried eggs included.

“[But] they tell us that no longer will the drinks that you lot have paid for are gonna be delivered because you’re not in the pub, apparently that’s in their terms and conditions.

“Now you lot have been robbed. You’ve bought me things that you can’t have.”

“The little lady earning 10 quid an hour inside isn't going to be able to solve this problem, but if you lot have enough f*cking time send some emails through.

“That’s a state. Someone bought me steak, someone bought a bottle of prosecco, and I have a pint, one f*cking pint.”

“They said to me “Oh we’ve got a lot of order, and we can’t do your orders because it’s unfair on the staff.” F*cking get more staff!

A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said the pub was overwhelmed by orders to his table, including a large number of alcoholic drinks.

"We understand at this stage, he asked his followers to send drinks to other tables."

The pub chain said that while refunds couldn't be processed on the day, it was working through the refunds as quickly as it could."
