Word 1
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 2:13-16
• Matt. 2:13 This was the second dream or vision that Joseph received from God. Joseph's first dream revealed that Mary's child would be the Messiah (Mat_1:20-21). His second dream told him how to protect the child's life. Although Joseph was not Jesus' natural father, he was Jesus' legal father and was responsible for his safety and well-being. Divine guidance comes only to prepared hearts. Joseph remained receptive to God's guidance.

Word 2
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 2:13-16
• Matt. 2:14-15 Notice that Joseph fled to Egypt by night with Baby Jesus, God the Son, born in human flesh. This depicts so many things amongst which are the demands on us to do our part of every covenant with God, secondly is the use of wisdom by Joseph to flee in the night, when his identity will not be obvious. Without this sacrifice by Joseph, Herod may have apprehended and killed Baby Jesus. There is also an interesting parallel between this flight to Egypt and Israel's history. As an infant nation, Israel went to Egypt, just as Jesus did as a child. God led Israel out; God brought Jesus back. Both events show God working to save his people.

Word 3
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 2:13-16
• Matt. 2:16 Herod, the king of the Jews, killed all the boys under two years of age in an obsessive attempt to kill Jesus, the newborn king. He stained his hands with blood, but he did not harm Jesus. Herod was king by a human appointment; Jesus was King by a divine appointment. No one can thwart God's plans. Herod was afraid that this newborn king would one day take his throne. He completely misunderstood the reason for Christ's coming. Jesus didn't want Herod's throne; he wanted to be king of Herod's life. Jesus wanted to give Herod eternal life, not take away his present life. Today people are often afraid that Christ wants to take things away when, in reality, he wants to give them real freedom, peace, and joy. Don't fear Christ—give him the throne of your life.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, direct my path in life. Everytime You do something in my life that I do not understand, help me trust You through it in Jesus, name. Pro. 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Father in the name of Jesus, empower me in these three days marathon fasting and prayer on the prayer altar. May all my desires for this quarter and year be granted in Jesus' name!
2 Chr. 7:14
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!

JESUS IS LORD!
