In the footage, Rodion helps a DPR fighter with the call sign "Thunderstorm" to get to the shelter - and at that moment they open fire on them. Rodion was wounded in the leg, he was assisted on the spot by military doctors, after which the journalist was taken to Moscow for treatment.

For courage, bravery and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Rodion Severyanov the Order of Courage.

Now the military commissar has returned to Donbass and continues to work.
