In this video, I will teach you a great method for developing your listening comprehension skills. We will see the difference from a more fact based article or speech and a more entertainment based article or speech. The key ideas that pop up are much less than in a fact based article like the first lesson.
I'll start by introducing the concept of critical listening and what it means to be a good listener, then I'll talk about how to actively listen in order to understand the content effectively. Listening is the most important skill for success in college and beyond. Critical listening skills are necessary for success in just about every profession.

We will answer some comprehension questions and then I will show you were all of the key elements were in the news article. You will see how the tone can change when the speaker says these key elements and that will help you build your critical listening skills.
