The Tesla Model Y CUV is Tesla's newest electric vehicle to hit the roads and is showing strong signs of continuing its growth in popularity as a compact and more affordable alternative to the Model X. Interestingly, Musk has worked so closely with Tesla to make this legendary car, not just for the fact that it is made by Tesla but also because it shares much of its subversion DNA with the cheapest Tesla, the Model 3, which also shares many of the same components.

Tesla's Model Y is roughly somewhere in between the Model X, which is more affordable, and the Model 3, which is roomier. It's a hybrid car so it's cheaper and more powerful than both of those models. Aside from being the newest Model Y on the market, it is also the first Tesla model to be equipped with Tesla's heat pump as an alternative to electric resistance for both interior cabin heating and battery preconditioning. Since then, the heat pump has been introduced into other Tesla models, along with other features like chrome trim that can be deleted. The Model Y is currently available in two dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions: Performance and Long Range. In both of these trim levels, the 75kWh battery packs supply the vehicle with power.
