"As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ."

Christ said we must suffer persecution if we want to blessed, in Matthew 5:10-12; and the apostle Paul said "we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God" in Acts 14:22.

But why is tribulation necessary? Why not just please men, and be liked by everybody?
