Biden sends hundreds of U.S. troops back to Somalia to fight al-Shabab extremists, as Biden's top officials warn that the Al Qaeda affiliate has gained strength there since the U.S. withdrew its troops more than a year ago.
The move reverses former President Donald Trump's decision to pull out the more than 700 U.S. military personnel who were stationed there on rotations.
