Thru-hiking and Bug-Out-Bag Gear

My trail name is Sir Eats A Lot, or SEAL, and I’m a 6’2” 210 lbs Marine Corps veteran, Ohio State Alumnus, 2019 #AppalachianTrail thru-hiker, professor, and artist.

Keep in mind, I hike hot, I drink a lot, I eat a lot, and I stink a lot. However, this is what a recommend for any thru-hike or bug-out-bag for above 0 degree weather. I hike with it. I camp with it. I travel with it in my car during long distances. It’s so light, I carry backpacking guitars and camera equipment. Hell, a laptop is nothing when your bag weighs 20 lbs full.
