Last week, Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell announced that he and Joe Biden have agreed to advance a massive package of $40 billion to pay the salaries and retirement benefits of the Ukrainian government. 149 Republicans voted yea to pass the bill.

Every week, it’s more billions being earmarked for Ukraine, for now a total of $55 billion in just 10 weeks!

For some perspective, the total Russian military budget for the entire year is $65 billion. The annual average spent by the US on its own war in Afghanistan each year was $45 billion.
