Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch) 100% - Bowser's Fury Part 1

With Super Mario 3D World finished for now (I'll come back for the final 5 stamps once I finish playing through the game 4 more times), it's now time to begin the other half of the package, the brand-new game that was added into the Switch port of 3D World! Welcome now to Bowser's Fury!

When Mario walks along a trail in front of Peach's Castle, he noticed puddles of black goop ahead and follows the trail to a Shadow Mario logo which takes Mario through a portal into a new world known as Lake Lapcat. Here, Mario is immediately greeted by Bowser who has now grown to gigantic proportions, is much more powerful, now has a black coloring with red hair, and is now known as Fury Bowser. After grabbing the first Cat Shine, the black goop is cleaned off the nearby lighthouse as Fury Bowser suffers minor damage from the light and retreats.

Once night turns to day after Fury Bowser's retreat, Mario sees a panicking Bowser Jr. nearby. Bowser Jr. frantically explains to Mario what happened. He was painting his dad, and the black paint corrupted him and made him so big and angry. He reluctantly asks Mario for help in turning his dad back to normal.

Bowser's Fury adopts a more open-world style with its gameplay, similar to Super Mario Odyssey or any of the games from 3D All-Stars. Players travel around the central location of Lake Lapcat to various mini-world islands to complete challenges for Cat Shines, which will clean off the black goop that has plagued the world and open up new areas of the lake. At various times the area will start storming and Fury Bowser will appear to wreak destruction upon you. Fury Bowser is actually needed to break some of the blocks guarding certain Cat Shines.

When you collect enough Cat Shines, the area's Giga Bell will be cleaned off, and you can use it to transform into Giga Cat Mario and actually fight Fury Bowser. When you kill him, he'll sink into the lake and cause several more islands in a new area of Lake Lapcat to rise out of the lake allowing access to new levels.
