Dr Mason, continuing his conversation with BNS, shares a study that show conclusively that genetics are not the key driver of dementia...but rather metabolic health. Those with insulin resistance may have a challenge getting glucose into the brain, thus developing cognitive dysfunction. Changing the diet so that our body burns fat instead of sugar will allow ketones to be developed and they will give the brain all the energy it needs to function properly.
