#shorts Setup a GoPro Hero 9Black for portrait mode.

It is easy to turn portrait mode on and in this video I will show you how.

So you go to shoot in portrait mode just to find that your display does not rotate the way it does on your phone? We can fix that and it is super easy, barely an inconvenience.

1.The first thing you must do is to use you finger to swipe the screen down from the top, much like the way you would on a cell phone to get to some of the settings.

2. Next you must swipe left but you only need to do it once to get to the screen that will let you see your settings. Double click the icon on the right hand side of the screen that is labeled "Preferences", and go into the preferences area.

3. Now scroll down until you reach the "display" listing. and go ahead and tap on it.

4. Inside this menu you will see a "Orientation" listing that is set to landscape setting.

5. Select Orientation and on the next menu you will see an option that it is highlighted in blue and reads "Landscape". Go ahead and select the menu item and then select the option above it that says "ALL" .

6. After selecting that option you can now tap the back arrow until you reach the preferences screen again and swipe up to return to the main screen of the GoPro.

You will now notice that when you rotate your GoPro Hero 9 Black that the power and SD card icons as well as the other camera icons , will all now rotate as well. Now you are ready for portrait mode!.

Don't forget that the Go Pro can also take high quality shots whether in portrait or landscape mode, not too mention it can actually take pretty good portrait shots of people when choosing the right camera mode.
