The analysis of mainstream media 'experts' are very equidistant to me... a bit like the yugoslav civil war in the 1990s.. A neutral Ukraine would have been a fair solution and its territorial integrity, although artificially created would have been for her own good and prosperity.. but it decided to go rogue...

However, the deal was a commitment that NATO will not expand to the East, the mentioned countries, including Romania and Ukraine, will provide the buffer zone between NATO and the Russian Federation. The Ukraine isn't our war, its an private arrangement, let them sort out the mess they created.. in fact, I can't even bring myself to feel any patriotism for NATO even if Russia attacks Poland or decides to claim back all its soviet era losses.
