Dreaming of Oz, Stuck in Africa, (Performed on Yamaha MOXF8)

Seth Lowman, founder of SlowmanJazz Studio, brings together two unlikely tunes: a Classic Rock song by Toto, and a famous song from The Wizard of Oz, performing them on the studio keyboard. says Seth: "While I was in high school, I was at a church camp with a group of friends, and one of them asked me if I had heard of a band called Toto. Of course, having read most of The Wizard of Oz series as a kid, I immediately thought of Dorothy’s pet dog. Anyway, fast-forward a couple years, and I found I really enjoyed listening to “Africa”, probably because the 80s synthesizer influences in the song pleased the nerd in me. Nevertheless, I still think of The Wizard of Oz when I hear any song by Toto, and this performance is a result of many happy memories that began with fairytales, good friends, and a week at church camp.
I recorded this performance directly to audio. No edits have been made, and I went with a funky Rhodes sound this time to switch things up. If you enjoy this performance, then please like, subscribe, and/or comment below."
