What Are Emotions For? Talk for West-Mont Christian Academy Chapel and Small Groups

I was invited to speak at West-Mont Christian Academy for their chapel and small groups this past week. They requested I submit a pre-recorded video for their Jr and Sr High students. So, I chose to do a teaching based on a handout I made several years ago about the purpose of emotions. I include moments to pause and do brief group discussions.
In this video, I teach the two main purposes of emotions: communication and motivation. I explain how God gave us emotions for our survival, how we can detect and identify our emotions, how our thoughts/beliefs create our emotions, and how emotions influence our actions.
