the mental health system is dysfunctional. its a revolving door. i fear my daughter will end up homeless, jail or dead. i don't which is worse. if she will ever have a quality of life.

one must be willing to receive mental health services. and then wait in line. i am so frustrated.

a mental hospital is only capable of temporarily containing a person. I could bend over backwards, begging the police to take her, sending detailed documents to the hospital to keep her. and they won't keep more than a day or two. even with the presentation of self inflicted wounds. a mental hospital does nothing long term. it's only capacity is containment at this time. healing happens in therapy and in personal introspection, both require time and resources.

update. my daughter moved to Idaho after her boyfriend died of a drug overdose. Life is not fair, but it eventually changes.
