This Old Hard Drive: Teardown

A quick teardown of a HDD that went kaput. Happened within the past five years, but not sure when. Found out today it was trashed when I tried to see what was on it.
The 8-pin ICs are probably inductive load drivers, H-bridges, etc for the drive motor and coil. I didn't look up the part numbers, but given they're connected to the motor leads, its safe to say theyre for the motor & coil.
