Word 1
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 1:1-17
• Matt. 1:1-6 Matthew wrote this book to show that Jesus was a descendant of Abraham, the father of all Jews, and a direct descendant of David, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah's line. His inclusion of four particular women (Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba) reveals his concern to do more than relay historical data. These women raise both ethnic and ethical questions. At least two of them were not Israelites by birth and all four of them had reputations that could have made them unmentionable in an ancestral tree. Yet this was the line into which God's Son was born. Jesus' genealogy makes it clear, not that there were a few disreputable people in his family, but that all of them were sinners. God sent his Son as Savior of all people—Jews, Gentiles, men, and women. No matter what the sins of the people, God's plan was never thwarted. It continues to unfold. That plan includes you.

Word 2
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 1:1-17
• Matt. 1:7-12 There is a lot to mention and review about the men and women in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Firstly is the fact that they were ordinary men and women that were called to fulfil the extra-ordinary purpose of God; secondly is the fact that they lived their lives ordinarily and both their errors, mistakes, sins were mentioned without shame. Jesus was not of ashamed of his ancestry so, our imperfections and mistakes are part of what God uses to bring glory to His name. Let go of the shame and pain and count them as part of what God uses for His glory.

Word 3
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 1:1-17
• Matt. 1:13-17 In the first 17 verses we meet 46 people whose lifetimes span 2,000 years. All were ancestors of Jesus, but they varied considerably in personality, spirituality, and experience. Some were heroes of faith—like Abraham, Isaac, Ruth, and David. Some had shady reputations—like Rahab and Tamar. Many were very ordinary—like Hezron, Ram, Nahshon, and Achim. And others were evil—like Manasseh and Abijah. God's work in history is not limited by human failures or sins, and he works through ordinary people. Just as God used all kinds of people to bring his Son into the world, he uses all kinds today to accomplish his will. And God wants to use you.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, help me stay focused on Your promises and covenant, following through on Your will for my life. Ps 143:10
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Father in the name of Jesus, empower me in these three days marathon fasting and prayer on the prayer altar. May all my desires for this quarter and year be granted in Jesus' name!
2 Chr. 7:14
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!

JESUS IS LORD!
