Lower Leg Strength for Hoopers🏀

What basketball player doesn’t want to jump higher, reduce risk of ankle sprains, and avoid cranky knees?
The lower leg complex is capable of so much more than just standard calf raises. These muscles function to:
1)absorb high ground reaction forces experienced with jumping, cutting, sprinting, etc
2)assist in decelerating the tibia when changing directions or speed
3)last but not least, quickly produce huge amounts of force required for top end speed and the highest jumps

It is crucial that we train the lower leg complex from every angle we can, as well as at varying speeds. Here we have @mlmili13 @obenoel __ybnamir @solomon_ball3 @noah.charles24 @_cp__3 running through several variations we like to use to challenge and strengthen the lower leg. The results have been decreased knee and ankle pain, improved balance, improved landing mechanics, improved first step explosiveness, and improved first and second jump ability. Can’t wait to see it pay off on the hardwood in their upcoming seasons .
