James Griffin spent 18 years in the British Army, having joined the Household Cavalry Regiment in 2001. His role as a recce soldier saw him operate in Iraq as Brigade Surveillance Company team leader & Forward Air Controller in the Brigade Reconnaissance Force in Afghanistan. James later qualified in 2014 as an Army helicopter pilot, but was medically discharged in 2019 with post traumatic stress. James is now working in the military charity sector and specialising as a performance coach.
