It's important to acknowledge the past and it's important to acknowledge the progress that has been made.
Kathy has pointed out many times that one of the Left's divisive tactics is to pretend that no progress has been made in America---they push the narrative of a systemically racist country. Kathy rejects this narrative whole-heartedly.
