Is the "Peaceful" Protesting Outside of SCOTUS Justices' Homes Illegal? Why Won't the DOJ Act?

Ever since the leak emerged from the Supreme Court, there have been endless protests occuring outside the homes of the Supreme Court Justices by lonely, unhinged activists. It's only a matter of time before they turn violent, so why aren't the authorities stepping in? Well, they support it! The official position of the President is that it is alright and welcomed, because it's going to be the impetus for the sequel to the 2020 "Summer of Love!"

But are these illegal gatherings? By the letter of the law, more than likely. But if a law isn't enforced, is it really illegal?
