New Mexico Election Audit: Canvas Results

Canvas results in Otero County for the 2020 election took two months to complete. 40% of the votes canvased had discrepancies. 30% of the votes canvased had voters at the wrong address, who may have resided at the address in question. 40% of the invalidly addressed voters voted in the election. 5% of the votes were incorrectly recorded, in this case, voters said they voted on election day, but the Secretary of State's records show they may have early voted or voted by absentee. 4% of the ballots casted were "ghost votes," someone who did not vote, but a vote was cast in their name, or an unknown residence voted. 2% of the votes canvased were "dropped" votes or "missing" votes which is a person's vote was not recorded.
