Recently, Amy Hill had the pleasure of meeting John Chapman and his wife Bridgett. John and Amy discussed his run for Congress, House District six, and some of his main goals as a new congressman. John grew up in Berkeley County, South Carolina, and has a strong desire to serve the citizens of his district by promoting freedom and liberty among other conservative initiatives. He is a veteran so service and sacrifice are deeply ingrained into his core beliefs. John is willing to go to Congress and work for constituents by addressing their issues as a true representative of the people.

The current congressional district includes, Charleston, Beaufort, Berkeley, Dorchester, Richland, Allendale, Bamberg, Clarendon, Colleton, Hampton, Jasper, Williamsburg, Calhoun, Orangeburg, Sumter and Florence, with the majority of those counties split, (corrected from the video). The South Carolina Senate is currently reviewing the congressional districts in a redistricting effort.

Track and attend John’s events so that you can learn more about him. Learn more about the issues he would like to address and sign up to volunteer if you have some free time.
