Watch a combative US representative Liz Cheney has lashed out at leaders of her own Republican Party, taking to the House floor on the eve of her near-certain ouster from a leadership post to warn former president Donald Trump and his GOP supporters are threatening to undermine our democracy

Representative Liz Cheney was removed from her post of conference chair in a voice vote, shortly after the closed-door vote came to order.

After the vote, Cheney told reporters that she "will do everything I can to make sure the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office." She faced the ouster from her leadership post for openly criticizing Mr. Trump.
