Carlos is so impressive that a President wanted to paint HIS portrait. Find out why!

This show is a part of the Texas Cigar Roadshow: Voted the 2020 #1 Cigar Show on CigarScore.com, what we like to call a Pit Stop. When on the road you eventually need to take a pit stop where you can refuel and catch your breath. In a Texas Cigar Roadshow Pit Stop, Ian and I will have a cigar, a drink, or drinks, and talk about different cigar accessories, topics or individuals in the cigar industry, and how all that will add to your cigar culture and experience.

In this episode, we welcome Carlos Rovelo whom I know from Tobacco Cabana where he would conduct tequila tastings. He is an immigrant from El Salvador and also a college professor of government. President George W. Bush took an interest in his story so much that he painted his portrait to include in his book, "Out of many, One" Beside having that very interesting aspect to his life, Carlos is a Catador: a tequila sommelier if you will. Carlos and I will also talk about tequilas: Blanco, Reposado and Anejo. He is a wealth of knowledge that helps me enjoy tequila more each time I listen to him from the ingredients to the type of glasses to enjoy it in. My cigar of choice is the Tobacco Cabana San Andres house cigar in the robusto size. So grab a drink and a good cigar and sit back for a great conversation about tequila.

For our 'Texas Toast' with you the viewers, Ian and I are drinking a blended bourbon Jacob Weldon. If you like maple and pecan you will enjoy this bourbon. To find out more about this Texas bourbon go to https://www.johnsoncountydistillery.com/

Thank you for watching another episode of the Texas Cigar Roadshow Pit Stop and as always, Enjoy the leaf. Grow the culture.
