Final Fantasy 4 Playthrough (15/19) "Farming suggestions" (OUTDATED INFO)

Edit: Below. Useless information. I kind of figured this more out later. Besides, you will automatically get Ribbons when farming for Soma Drops in Lair of the Father, first floor.

23:54: When you have found Yang, and then smacked him with a frying pan, then Yang`s wife will give you a knife, if thrown with Edge it will be insanely powerful... If i were you, save it for that impossible last secret boss and use focus. You will need it. You will only be given this over powered throwing knife once. Also in the US translation this was called a spoon -_- Just saying.

For silver apple grinding 1:28:19 (update. Do not attack ZU enemy for it, it rarely gives it away. Lillith enemy (Which is on the top of Mount of Ordeals, where my airship is parked. Has 12% drop rate for Silver apple (but i honestly am almost more in favor of farming Dragons, because it drops Sirens, and has 5% chance of Silver apples aswell as tails. But i would suggest not to use silver or gold apples til the third playthrough or not on party members, that you arent gonna use til end of the game like Cecil Paladin, or others that you will end up with in the end of the game. So that you get the HP high enough. Also Green and Yellow Dragons have 5% drop rate of silver apples. So you are in luck while finding tails there too. Or one other way for getting both Sirens, aswell as being lucky to get Silver Apple, is grinding outside tokkul where "Alraune" and Yellow Dragon may show up. Meaning you can both be in luck for Sirens or Silver apples or Tails. Its either way my recommended way of grinding for it. You have more a chance of grinding Silver apples from Yellow and green dragons than Tails to begin with. It also drops high amounts of Sirens too, which is helpful if you just wanna grind for Tails, Silver apples or Sirens and Money.

Btw, dont forget to cast "Float" which is a spell Rosa can do, assuming she is high enough level. Because "Alraune" uses earthquake, but with Float you wont take damage.

So just fighting and wait for the drop seems like the smartest fastest way. Also recommend having Gil farmer for more money aswell.

Ribbon farming in Sylph Cave. 1:43:57

Essentially some enemies uses insta KO on you. So ribbon can defend you from that, if you want to farm for stuff without getting insta KO. So again stealing doesnt seem to do anything. Essentially drops, just fight til you get 4 or 5 ribbons or something. And you should be good to go, which you get from the enemy. "Bog Witch"
