DAY 1 of a new land management project at a Southern Illinois farm. Join me and Curtis Rogers for our first day on an ongoing land management and deer habitat improvement project as we start to remove invasive species from this beautiful Illinois hunting land, clean out some old watering holes/watering ponds, put Curtis' new Kioti tractor to work, and assess the next few projects, one of which will be fixing a washed out culvert pipe deep in the woods. We will also take a closer look at Curtis' land management map and vision for this property and see some first year success on this project! This property owner, in the very first year of our land management (which is often quite rare), harvested a near big 10 point buck as a result of all of the land management projects, the food plots, and strategic deer cover growth that was all put together by Curtis Rogers, and put into reality by the two of us. This is a great story of success in such a short time, but will only get better in time. So for today I will be bringing my new Bobcat e42 R series mini excavator out and Curtis will have his Kioti RX6620 tractor and we will start removing all of the invasive autumn olive bushes along all of the open field edges, and I will also do some pond dredging with the e42 r series mini excavator to make a watering hole much deeper that had silted in over the years, and we will also take a look at a deep woods ditch crossing culvert pipe that needs to be reworked a little to make it a little wider. Thanks for joining us today, and as always please hit the like button and consider subscribing to follow all of our land management projects, Bobcat e42 r series mini excavator projects, food plots, duck ponds, building roads, watering holes, Bobcat t650 CTL skid steer projects, DIY rustic barn wood projects, DIY rustic red cedar furniture and rustic farmhouse decor projects, Kioti tractor projects, building roads, installing culverts and much more country living adventure. Thanks. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.
