🇺🇦 Jill Biden was on a visit to Uzhgorod / Ukraine!

Specifically, she met with Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska in Uzhgorod on May 8. Remarkably, this happened on Mother's Day.

Specifically, Jill Biden and Olena Zelenskaya visited a school in Uzhgorod, where internally displaced people from areas of Ukraine where the fighting is ongoing.

First Lady Biden's visit is a demonstration of support for Ukraine from senior U.S. officials.

In addition to visiting Uzhgorod, the trip includes stops in Slovak cities.

For obvious reasons, the visit to Uzhgorod was not announced and kept in maximum secrecy and was closed to the media. The meeting was attended only by the White House press service.
