House-Sitting » Work-Exchange #1: Nesting Box Behavior » Two weeks on a ranch, near Aculco, Mexico

This video takes a look at chicken behaviors, and our experience in redirecting this rancher's flock to lay eggs in their new-and-improved nesting boxes, instead of the dog house. Chickens have a lot of really interesting individual and flock behaviors, and it's just a matter of understanding a chicken's thought process, to make their quirky behaviors start to make sense.

Not a typical house-sit, this was more of a work-exchange. We enjoyed two weeks on a big, beautiful ranch outside Aculco, Mexico, with a flock of seven Leghorn hens and one Naked-Neck rooster. Our previous video covers their coop remodel and leg mite treatment.
