In this Michigan fishing video we are Steelhead Fishing The Muskegon River With Josef Callender of West Michigan Guide Service. There is nothing I like more than steelhead fishing Michigan rivers! My boss bought me and my coworker Dave a guided trip with West Michigan Guide Service and Jason couldn't resist tagging along so we all drove to Muskegon for a day of Muskegon River Steelhead Fishing! We also found a bunch of Muskegon River brown trout on this Michigan fishing trip. I was shocked at the number of big Muskegon River brown trout we hooked into while fishing for spring steelhead in the tail end of the Muskegon River steelhead run 2021. I never knew the Muskegon was such a good brown trout fishing river. I have only been Muskegon river steelhead fishing a few times but now I am truly in love with this awesome Michigan river!

Michigan steelhead fishing has wound down for the season at this point and I am missing Steelhead fishing Michigan rivers badly now that its over. Steelhead fishing Michigan rivers has ruined all other types of fishing for me and now I cant wait for fall. Steelhead fishing Northern Michigan rivers is particularly enjoyable because of the beauty of Northern Michigan and the beauty of wild trout and other species in the rivers! West Michigan Guide Service gave us the royal tour of the Muskegon River on this guided steelhead fishing trip! The first time I went to the Muskegon river several years ago I stoped by the Croton Dam on my way back from camping and I saw a guy with a king salmon and a rainbow trout on a stringer and I've only been back twice since and never caught a fish. I have had 2 great experiences Fishing the muskegon river now and can say that Muskegon river steelhead fishing is better than I ever realized.

In This Michigan steelhead fishing video we are using Lamiglas Redline spinning reels with Diawa Fugo reels. Jason and I both Have Lamiglas Redline Centerspin rods and we were surprised how different these ones felt. They were like a stiffer version of the Lamiglas X11 rods. When it comes to steelhead fishing rods Lamiglas rods are pretty sweet! These Lamiglas Redline rods handled the big steelhead and brown trout very nicely. If you watch my videos often you know I like Lamiglas fishing rods and I currently own 4 Lamiglas fishing rods myself and Jason has more Lamiglas rods than I do.
