In yet another homage to the great "March King", Isaac Glover drew his inspiration for this march from John Philip Sousa's "The Gallant Seventh" in which there is an introduction, first and second strains, and a trio per standard march format, however after the trio of both compositions there is a bugle call, a third strain that is similar to the trio, a break strain, and a final strain. There are vast differences in the songs, however "Soldier of the Night" was very much cast by the mold left by "The Gallant Seventh".
