Homemade Date Syrup #shorts #foodshorts

A recipe I’m going to make for my YouTube channel next week called for date syrup.
So instead of buying it, why not use the dates I have (and I have a ton thanks to Ugglies huge box from My Amazon Store)!
DATE SYRUP RECIPE
1 lb pitted dates, chopped
2 cups water
Simmer dates in water on medium-low for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Blend and strain. I used a nut milk bag to strain.
Cook down another 30 minutes to make the syrup sweeter if you wish.
Keeps for a few weeks in the fridge.
Save the fiber from the dates to use in recipes or throw on your oatmeal. It’s not as sweet but so good for you!
Alternatively, blend the dates in with the water and don’t strain for a fiber-filled date syrup!
