Bold, current and very technological. The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric arrives to revolutionize, not only for its innovative design, but also for being the first Volvo vehicle that was born to be purely electric, a brand's look at the present, aiming at the future.

With unique traits and full of personality, the C40 was inspired by Scandinavian architecture with the influence of light and nature. It all starts with the side lines, with a design made to preserve the striking feature and internal space. The criss-cross narrow side profile brings a new silhouette to the Volvo car range, the promise of a car driven by passion.

The very evident airfoils and rear spoilers bring bold and futuristic lines to the car's design, which provide greater aerodynamics and autonomy through less air resistance. The black roof is also a design element with the contrasting signature, which further enhances the dynamic and bold design of the car.

Rounding out the look are large diamond-cut five-spoke alloy wheels with contrasting surfaces of raw polished aluminum and gloss black paintwork, which perfectly complement the bold character of the C40 Recharge Pure Electric.

Another highlight of the C40 Recharge, which combines design with technology, is the panoramic roof, which extends from the rear seats to the front seats. With high-tech laminated fixed dark glass with IR coating, it optimizes comfort in all weather conditions, helping to reduce external noise, minimizes the entry of light by up to 95%, offers UV protection of 99.5% and blocks about 80% of the sun's heat radiation.

Volvo Cars is taking an ethical stance in favor of animal welfare with the goal of making all of its future fully electric cars leather-free, using instead high-quality materials made from sustainable sources.

As well as the seats, the steering wheel, upholstery and the gear lever are 100% leather-free. The carpet surfaces are made from recycled PET bottles and the Topography decor is made from recycled plastics.

The Volvo C40 Recharge brings the latest in electric powertrains. With two P8 AWD (All Wheel Drive) electric motors, they generate an impressive 408 hp of power and 660 N.m of torque.

With the addition of the all-electric all-wheel drive powertrain and the high-tech 78 kWh battery, the car offers a range of around 440km (WLTP – Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) on a single charge. And with a fast charging system, the battery charges up to 80% of its capacity in 40 minutes.

Thanks to its modern construction, the C40 Recharge was designed to optimize aerodynamics, increasing range and allowing acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds, with a 180km/h limiter.

The C40 Recharge has a bundled service package for three years, in addition to the internet package available in the multimedia center.
