God's Call To Judah For Repentance & Restoration Is. 66:1-5
• Is 66:1-2 Stephen, in his address to the Jewish Council, made a quotation from these verses, and in direct application, to their characters. What is unheard of, unexplored, unknown mercies, are contained in the bosom of this astonishing declaration of the Lord! Though the heaven of heavens cannot contain him, yet will he condescend both to look to the man of a contrite heart, and even dwell in him. Precious in the sight of the Lord are the virtues of contriteness at heart and trembling at God's word.

God's Call To Judah For Repentance & Restoration Is 66:1-5
• Is 66:3-4 Here, Prophet Isaiah is emphatic about offering unnecessary sacrifices in place of genuine repentance and turning to the Lord. When this happens, it is as if a person set at nought the great sacrifice of the Lord Jesus; and this would be what the Apostle calls crucifying him afresh, and putting him to an open shame. There is an uncommon degree of expression in those words, as if he slew a man; meaning the man Christ Jesus. Also, it is dangerous to mingle anything of our own with the perfect offering body of Jesus Christ, which was offered once for all. May you be empowered to live pure for Jesus.

• Is. 66:5 Here Prophet Isaiah encourages the faithful by promising that their enemies shall destroyed, those who pretended to be as brethren, but were hypocrites, and hated them that feared God. Such hypocrites shall be put to shame and confounded. It does not matter how long it takes, the wicked shall be put to shame, but God's people shall be glorified.

Father in the name of Jesus help me to be true to You, Your word and the Holy Spirit. Grant me illumination by Your word that would cleanse my heart and ways. Ps 119:9

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
