Americans Are Getting Poorer Every Year

Some one sent me this old flyer advertising new homes in the 1950s. Amazing to see how cheap housing used to be, even when you adjust for inflation. Back in the 50s, minimum wage (which was about $10 an hour in today's money) was enough to comfortably pay the mortgage on a one or two bedroom house. Nowadays, $10 an hour won't even allow someone to pay the rent for a crappy apartment.
