Amber Heard has taken to the stand against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

In the first moments, she appeared emotional as she described how the experience had affected her in court.

"I struggle to find the words to describe how painful this is, this is horrible for me to sit here for weeks and relive everything here," she said.

Depp sued Heard for $50m (£40m) over a Washington Post article, where she claimed she was an abuse victim, Heard then counter-sued Depp for $100m.

Depp has given evidence already - the trial has heard accusations of violence on both sides.
