Old Kentucky Cabin Log Restoration - from forgotten to UNFORGETTABLE!

Sharon here. Today I show you how I rescued this solid oak sill log from the limited remains of a secluded old log cabin I discovered on our Western Kentucky farm. I've taken on many other rustic log rehab projects before, but I have to say this is was my most challenging restoration and most rewarding. Beneath the moss covered, decaying and weathered surface, was a STUNNING focal point waiting to happen! The DIY prep to get there included many hours rescuing the log from deep in the woods, pressure washing, hand sanding and hand finishing.
