What the left WON'T Tell you about The Tulsa Race Massacre

Between May 31st and June 1 in 1921, a most unspeakable tragedy occurred in the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The district, colloquially dubbed "Black Wall Street," burned down to the ground after a crazed mob of arsonists set it aflame. This event is remembered in history as the Tulsa Race Massacre. In many contemporary minds, Tulsa's destruction is its most historically important contribution. Indeed, several documentaries that were made to commemorate the Black Wall Street focus either entirely, or primarily, on its haphazard destruction. Indeed, NPR listed multiple documentaries that should be watched on this centennial date. These documentaries include "Tulsa Burning: The Race Massacre," "Dreamland: The Burning of Black Wall Street," and "Tulsa: The Fire and The Forgotten." Joe Biden even used the Tulsa Massacre as a justification to fight "systemic racism," re-interpreting the event to fit his narrow rhetoric.

Mr. Watson, however, remembers Black Wall Street as an engine of genius which demonstrates the power of capitalism. Mr. Watson walks through the various examples of capitalistic excellence among Greenwood residents, including how many of them (who were freed slaves) did not allow their former condition to be their destiny. He urges his followers to see past the narrow explanations of Black Wall Street from the intelligentsia and to embrace the nuanced historical approach that Greenwood deserves.
