DIY running 2,000 feet of power line to remote homesite? Let's talk details.

Join me for another great DIY segment of looking at one of our next land investing projects of running 2,000 feet of power line (and water line as well) to a beautiful, remote Western Kentucky building site on our 190 acre farm. If you've ever built a home that required more than the 'free' power line install, then you know how much a project like this can cost! Join me today for the early stages of my investigation on trying to get full power, 200 amp (or maybe even 400 amp service in this case) to a very remote and beautiful building site located on a big ridge top on our Western Kentucky farm. This project will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but then again, if it were easy, everyone would have it! So I am doing my research and homework on trying to get power (and water) run 2,000 feet to a beautiful and stunning ridge top location on our Western Kentucky farm. Today I met with the power company representative and learned of a lot of Bad news, high costs and prices, but some possible good news.. Maybe... I am pricing out the cost of running overhead electrical power, or underground electrical power through the power company, AND I am working on the possibility of me doing this project on a DIY basis of running this 2,000 foot power line on my own, as I have done in the past several times!
