How NOT To Make a Cedar Log Mailbox Post

Sharon here. Almost 3 years ago I made a DIY video on how I used a western red cedar from our farm to make a spectacular one of a kind rust mailbox post. Little did I know it would be a huge failure and have to be redone. Watch as I take you step by step on looking back on how I prepped, applied and cured the log using Varathane Oil based Ultimate SPAR Urethane. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I learned some valuable lessons from this failure that I can use for future outside finishing rustic projects.
