The Day of Atonement and Judgements

Many Christians see Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement as a foreshadowing of the coming of Jesus, and His final sacrifice for our sin on Calvary. But this interpretation does not make any sense, as it does not square with the consecutive sequence of the feasts.

The Death and Resurrection of Jesus were already symbolized by Passover and First-fruits, and the feasts have moved on through Pentecost. Therefore to see Yom Kippur as going back several steps to Calvary is either because most people have no other explanation, or are trying to tie in the Feasts with preconceived ideas.
