DIY antique lantern for rustic cabin decor!

Sharon here! We don't even have a foundation yet but I'm already working on rustic decor accents for our VRBO guests to enjoy! Watch how I take this rusty forgotten lantern from the early 1900's and bring it back to life with some elbow grease and steel wool, a shiny coat of Wipe On poly and a string of LED fairy lights. All this with a remote to use as a night light or just to create a relaxing mood in a log cabin themed bedroom using original 1800's salvaged smokehouse logs for the headboard. My first idea of lighting didn't work out as planned but I came up with Plan B which I like even better! Now you can use the twinkle feature on the remote to resemble fire flies! How cool is that?
Stay tuned as I will be posting many of my original designs and creations of rustic furniture and decor over the next several months.
