US Secretary of Health Won't Use Word "Mom" | Xavier Becerra Questioned About "Birthing-People"

US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, appears unwilling to use the term "mother" in order to describe people who give birth to children. Becerra's unwillingness to use the word "mom" or "mother" -- Instead opting for the term "birthing-people" -- was questioned during a Senate Finance Committee hearing on the President’s 2022 HHS budget.
