When the rains stop, the waters begin to slowly decrease in the Pantanal, giving way to the landscape formed by countryside and hills. This scenario is called ebb and usually occurs between the months of April and June, followed by the drought, which lasts until October. However, with the historic drought recorded since last year, the ebb period is expected to be the longest recorded in the last 121 years.
