Vietnam is a beautiful country, has great people and a wonderful culture. Food is wonderful and transportation easy and reasonably priced. Overall it's a good experience. I have been coming here for 11 years and living mostly in the country for about 9 years or so.
I had some USA clients and provided real estate reviews and vendor/supplier surveys for the USA
companies. Of course, the pandemic largely killed that source of income. Hopefully when I get to my new home, I can build that business again.
Some things need fixing -- that's the visa system. If you are coming to Vietnam, get your visa from a government website (E-Visa) or at an embassy or consulate. Avoid the 'travel agencies" I'v seen how they work and the problems they can cause. I'm not the only person that has been having visa problems ... and the agencies aren't the ones to solve them.
